Operation
The Force Field relies on the teams Generator for power. If the Generator is offline, the field will shut down, although it will reactivate when the generator is repaired. The Force Field must be deployed on a relatively flat, level surface. When powered, the Force Field damages enemies who pass through it. The faster the enemy player is moving, the more damage the field will deal to them. Force Fields also absorb incoming enemy fire. The Force Field will prevent projectile and explosive weapons from passing through and can be upgraded to absorb more damage. The Doombringer can deploy a maximum of two Force Fields with upgrades. Once deployed an icon will appear in the bottom left of the player's HUD until the field is destroyed.

Tactics
Force Fields are defensive deployables that can be used for either damaging enemy players or deflecting their weapons fire. When deployed around the team's flag, Force Fields are usually placed where enemy cappers will pass through them while trying for a high speed grab. At full speed a player will take 800 damage passing through a field, enough to kill a Pathfinder without any armor upgrades. For stronger enemies, two can be deployed a few feet apart along the same path for double damage. Force Fields are most effective when placed where the enemy will have little time to avoid them, or no other choice but to go through them. A good example of this is in the map Crossfire, where a Force Field just inside the base from the flag will mean that a capper won't always see it if they try a grab by passing through the base.

Force Fields can also be deployed in doorways to help keep out enemy Infiltrators. Even when walking slowly, they will deal 240 damage to a player, and alert the pack's owner to the breach. This means the Force Field must either be destroyed or another route taken to bypass it. Since most players will simply try and destroy the field (or go though it and take the damage, if they can withstand it) Doombringers can also deploy mines hidden in front of the field to damage players who get too close. A good example of this is in the map Arx Novena, where the generator is accessed by a hallway with crates on either side.
