Zones and mission details

Zone 1

Story mission: Chapter one: Who Am I?

"I cant remember anything. Who the hell am I?"

The first chapter takes place on the initial sections of the colony ship, ISS-X, and consists of three floors. Each floor is divided into three sections, called Security Levels. Each security level consists of two item rooms, a perk room, a boss room on the last Security Level of each floor, and a saferoom.

Unlocks: Elemental Unlock: Plasma.

Specialty missions
  • Close Quarters. "There are a lot of hallways in this area. Looks pretty narrow. Knowing my luck it'll be full of those zombies things"
    • Mission details:
      • Mission length: Standard: 20 sectors.
      • Brutal: Melee enemies only.
      • Loadout: BAS-24 Warden Secondary Weapon.
    • Unlocks: Short range: Weakpoint, Crit Damage, and Elemental.
  • Pinpoint. "Huh. Wonder what's happening (in) this area."
    • Mission Details:
      • Mission Length: Standard: 20 sectors.
      • Gunfight: There are no melee bots in this area.
    • Unlocks: Long Range: Weakpoint, Crit Damage, and Elemental.
  • Uniform Chaos. Unlocked by completing Close Quarters and Pinpoint Specialty missions.
    • Mission Details:
      • Mission Length: Standard: 20 sectors.
      • Uniform: Encounters have only one type of bot, randomly chosen.
      • Roaming: Encounter rooms are randomly rolled from any in Zone 1.
    • Unlocks: Augmented Fate.
Challenge Missions
  • Last Stand. Unlocked by completing Uniform Chaos specialty mission. "Sensors show a lot of activity in this area. I should check it out."
    • Mission Length: 40 waves.
    • Hordes: You must face numerous waves of enemies.
  • Unlocks: Augmented Fate.

Zone 2

Story Mission: Chapter two: Keep It Together.

"So, I'm just a brain in a suit. Okay, gotta keep it together. I have access to Zone 2 now. Maybe I can find answers there."

Unlocks: Elemental Unlock: Psionic, Superior Fate, Tier 10 tech Upgrades.

Specialty Missions
  • Bugged. "A lot of spider and wasp bots are congregating in this area. I want to punch whichever engineer came up with them in the face."
    • Mission Details:
      • Mission Length: Standard: 20 sectors.
      • Swarm: High volume of Spiders and Wasp bots.
    • Unlocks: Equipped Fate, Epic Beginnings.
  • Glass Cannon. "I'll need to be careful. One wrong move in this area..."
    • Missions Details:
      • Mission Length: Standard: 20 sectors.
      • Lightweight: Your health and shields are limited for this mission, but your damage is enhanced.
    • Missions Equipment: Glass Cannon augment.
    • Unlocks: Fabricator Restock.
  • Headhunter. "I' need to improve my sniping skills. Never know what weapon I'm going to find."
    • Mission Details:
      • Mission Length: Standard: 20 sectors.
      • Headhunter: Powerful one shot potential, but if you miss a weakpoint you have to reload.
      • Gunfight: There are no melee bots in this area.
    • Unlocks: M-150 Headhunter, Ironblood Engine.
  • Dual Duel. "Great. More melee robots. Just... great."
    • Mission Details:
      • Mission Length: Standard: 20 sectors.
      • Iron Squires: Extremely fast firing dual weapons with high damage, missed shots expand your weapon spread.
      • Brutal: Melee only enemies.
    • Unlocks: Iron Squires.
  • Redline. "This area is near the maintenance bay. Maybe I'll find some good gear there."
    • Mission Details:
      • Mission Length: Standard: 20 sectors.
      • Hordes: You must face numerous waves of enemies.
      • Plasma Cycler: +70% elemental proc damage but every miss lowers your rate of fire.
    • Unlocks: Plasma Cycler.
Challenge Missions
  • Uniform Chaos II. "Huh. This access corridor seems to cut across the whole back of the ship."
    • Mission Details:
      • Mission Length: Standard: 20 sectors.
      • Uniform: Encounters have only one type of bot, randomly chosen.
      • Roaming: Encounter rooms are randomly rolled from any in Zone 1 or Zone 2.
    • Unlocks: Lead Head.
  • Gauntlet. "I feel like I'll be here forever. Like there's no way out."
    • Mission Details:
      • Mission Length: 54 Sectors.
      • Distance Challenge: This mission is long and not intended to be fully completed, Rewards are given at checkpoints.
      • Squads: Bots are randomly rolled from different sets.
      • Roaming: Special Encounter rooms are randomly rolled.

Zone 3

Story Mission: Chapter three: Get Out Of My Head.

"I keep hearing voices. The closer I get to the restricted zone, the louder they are. I need to get to the bottom of this once and for all."

Unlock:

Specialty Missions
  • Legion. "Huh. Looks like a lot of the big bastards are in this area. It's worth checking out."
    • Mission Details:
      • Mission Length: Standard: 20 sectors.
      • Elite: Encounters have a high concentration of Elite enemies.
    • Unlocks: Combat Instincts.
