Manspiders are an enemy in Deadzone: Rogue.
The Manspider's head serves as its weakpoint.
Manspiders can spit boucing globs of acid that create a temporary area which damages the player by a small amount. They also have a powerful melee attack, either running or leaping toward the player in order to use it.
Two Manspiders first appear at the end of Security Level 6 as the boss. Single Manspiders may also appear in rooms starting from Security Level 8, and will appear in the perk rooms of Security Levels 8 and 9.
Strategy
- Like other melee enemies, the Manspider's melee attack can be dodged by dashing away from it during the windup. Additionally, Chill can be used to almost completely prevent the Manspider from reaching the player unless it leaps.
- Try to fight Manspiders at the same elevation or while below the Manspider. If you are above the Manspider, the trajectory of its leap may cause it to reach you significantly faster than expected.
- The acid spit deals very little damage as long as you leave its area quickly.
