Tribes 3: Rivals is currently in an early alpha state, and is available during scheduled playtests to players who have registered for the playtest. Currently the playtest is open to the public, with the only requirement being requesting access on Steam. There is no limit to the number of players that can request access to the playtest. Most playtests begin on Thursday evening US Eastern Time and run for one to three days. Playtests are announced on the Tribes 3: Rivals Discord and the Tribes 3: Rivals page on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Steps to Request Access
- Go to the Tribes 3: Rivals page on Steam
- Scroll down, and click the button to Request Access
- Wait until the next playtest for the servers to come online.
- When the playtest is active, go to the Tribes 3: Rivals Playtest listing on Steam (not the normal game listing) and click on Download
Status of the current playtest
As of 2/18/24, there is currently no active playtest. Users are not able to play the game, download the game, or enter servers.
The next playtest release time has not been announced, but Community Manager Solstice announced on Discord that the next playtest is intended for the week of February 22, 2024.
Most Playtests begin on Thursday night US Eastern Time, and run for 24-72 hours.
