Mindless

General Information

Health Pool 700

Mindless are an enemy in Deadzone: Rogue.

Although the Mindless has a relatively unarmoured head, its only weakpoint is its glowing faceplate.

Mindless will move directly towards the player and attempt to make melee attacks against the player. They will also leap towards the player if the player is unreachable or too far away. Unlike other melee enemies, Mindless are easy to outrun. However, Mindless can enrage, drastically increasing their movement speed. Mindless will enrage if hit by a bullet, melee attack[verification needed], or grenade. They can also get enraged by Chain Lightning or Void Tendrils[verification needed].

Mindless will appear in almost every room starting from Security Level 4's perk room, including the perk rooms of Security Levels 5 and 6.

Strategy

  • Like other melee enemies, the Mindless' melee attack can be dodged by dashing away from it during the windup. Additionally, Chill can be used to mitigate the movement speed bonus of enraged Mindless.
  • When facing multiple Mindless, try to kill them one at a time to avoid being overrun.
  • Mindless have a small, directional weakpoint, move around a lot, and move their head a lot while idle, when noticing the player, and when enraging. As such, they are difficult to deal with using weakpoint damage.

Trivia

  • Many Mindless corpses can be found throughout Chapter One. These look very similar to the player, but have their distinctive skull faceplate.
