The Thumper is a primary weapon for the Medium Armor. The Thumper is the only primary weapon that is neither a Spinfusor nor a Bolt Launcher, although it does have similarities to the the Bolt Launcher due to firing an arcing explosive round. Compared to the Spinfusor, the Thumper does more damage on a direct hit (980 versus 840) with a smaller explosion radius. Thus, although the stated damage on the Thumper is identical to the Spinfusor, the increased damage on the Direct Hit makes it a better primary weapon choice for players who are able to consistently land direct hits on their target.
