Permanent Tech Masteries are acquired by spending Tech at the Tech Mastery console. These upgrades persist after the player dies. Permanent Tech Masteries are split into three trees: Defense, Damage, and Utility.
The maximum Tech Upgrade Tier is initially 8, however, upon beating Keep it Together, the maximum Tech Upgrade Tier is increased to 10. All tech masteries require general 
Tech to upgrade, and each requires 
Tech Components specific to the mastery being upgraded.
