A vehicle station is a base asset at which a player can buy vehicles. On some maps, a team will control one or more vehicle stations that its players can use. A vehicle station is always located on top of a black vehicle pad with a circular spawn pad, which is where the vehicle will actually spawn. Because the station and pad are always together, the are often referred to collectively as simply the vpad. Of the two, only the vehicle station can be destroyed. Vehicle stations can take more damage than any other base asset in the game before they are destroyed. They can be very important to your team as they can supply you with vehicles that can help (or maybe hinder) your journey to victory.
Simply stand on top of the vehicle station to open the selection screen and buy your vehicle. The vehicle will then spawn on the pad. Don't wait around to hop in, as you will be teleported into the vehicle as soon as it spawns, if your armor will let you fit there. Leave the pad as quickly as possible to prevent an enemy from shooting you as you buy your vehicle. Also, get your vehicle away from the spawn point quickly to let others use the station.
Common problems
A very common problem that can happen is that the other team might send one or more Thundersword bombers to bomb your team's vehicle station to prevent your team from using them, so try to get as many out as possible by you as fast as you can spawn them. If there is a base turret near your vehicle station, set your inventory to have an AA turret pack and then attach it to the turret. Another solution is to put some people with missile launchers and shocklances on or near the vehicle station. The missiles are for taking the vehicle out as most people panic when they hear that beeping sound so they will probably retreat. The shocklances are in case an enemy vehicle gets too close. If its a plane, try to get directly under it and shock it. The lance will probably flip the vehicle over, making it explode immediately.
In some cases, they might take a tank and camp it somewhere near enough to douse your base and teammates (sometimes you as well) with mortars but not near enough for the base turrets to shoot at. Vehicle stations are a prime target for this because there are usually people standing still while they buy their vehicle. To counter this, send a squad of heavies and mediums wielding missile launchers and fusion mortars (if possible) and watch those missiles fly! If they retreat, do not follow. Instead, you can expect them to come back a short while later. If this happens, just make sure you have some people stationed there to make sure the area stays clear and maybe a vehicle or two to reinforce them.
What to look for and where
When your at your team's vehicle station, try to deploy a deployable inventory station. This can save your team's life because it lets you restore the station quickly. Try to look for a deployable inventory station under the vehicle station, because vehicle stations are usually on a raised platform that is high enough for you to walk underneath. This does not apply to vehicle stations that are located in buildings. If you cannot find one (teammates usually put beacons on top or near the deployable inventory station so you can find them), just set your inventory to have a deployable inventory station and get it. Then deploy and mark it with a beacon. If your vehicle station gets bombed and/or your base assets are destroyed, locate the deployable, set your inventory to have a repair pack and try to repair as much as you can before being killed or try to survive. Your base will recover in no time!
When you are trying to locate your teams vehicle station, try to look around for a blue spinning glowing dome, which appears when a vehicle is under construction, or jet up above your base and look for a wide flat pad. If you can't find it, use the command circuit (press C by default) and look for a fork that you see at the ends of football fields. If you still can't find it that means the map you're using doesn't include one.
