Classes
- Main article: Tribes 3: Rivals/Classes
Tribes 3: Rivals features a class-based loadout system similar to Tribes: Ascend, featuring only three classes, light, medium, and heavy. Each loadout specifies what type of armor the player has, along with what weapons and items they carry. Each loadout supports three in-hand weapons, one belt item such as grenades or mines, and a pack. Prophecy Games has not announced if there are any plans to sell cosmetic items such as player skins.
Light Armor
Light Armor is the fastest and most fragile of all armor types. With a base health of 1,000, Lights are best outfitted for capturing the flag, chasing cappers, and sniping.
|
Medium Armor
Medium armor finds the balance between speed and survivability. With 1,500 health and a variety of weapons, Medium can be effective at midfield chasing and maintaining the base.
|
Heavy Armor
Heavy armor is extremely resilient and is unmatched in long range bombardment capabilities. It may be outfitted to fill Heavy on Flag or base destruction roles.
